With more than twenty years of experience in language education, I bring both deep expertise and a warm, student-centred approach to every lesson. I founded and ran RYUKENSEI, my own Japanese language school in Indonesia, for over a decade, and I have worked as an interpreter, a cross-cultural coordinator, and an education director. I hold JLPT N2 and studied at Nagano University in Japan.
My teaching draws on the FLR Method (Foreign Language Roadrunning), which gets learners speaking from the very first weeks rather than waiting years to feel ready. I combine this with structured, level-appropriate lessons. From the start, students practise common questions, answers, and everyday phrases so they can hold real conversations early on. I place a strong emphasis on listening to natural, native pronunciation, and I pair audio practice with clear written materials to build accurate speaking and solid understanding.
Every lesson follows a clear, progressive structure: a short warm-up review, focused practice on the day's topic, plenty of active speaking, and a brief recap so students always know what they have achieved. I build the language up methodically, so learners piece it together in weeks rather than years. For beginners I focus on a strong foundation in pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversation; for intermediate and advanced students I emphasise fluency, grammar accuracy, and exam preparation such as JLPT
I prepare personalised materials for each student and use real-life situations to make learning practical and engaging. I keep the atmosphere relaxed, interactive, and encouraging while maintaining steady, measurable progress. Whether a student wants to pass an exam, prepare to study or work abroad, or simply speak with confidence, I guide them patiently, step by step, toward real results.
