Alicia Meyer

With over six years of teaching experience, I've worked with students from more than eighty countries, ranging from complete beginners to advanced speakers. My background includes four years teaching adult professionals online, helping them improve their English for work, travel, and immigration purposes, as well as time teaching at two international schools in Cambodia. This mix has given me a strong sense of how to adapt to different learning styles, cultures, and goals.

Every lesson starts with understanding what you actually need English for, so we can focus on what matters most to you rather than following a generic syllabus. If you're preparing for work, an interview, or an exam, we'll focus on the vocabulary, structures, and confidence you need for that specific context. If your goal is general fluency or everyday conversation, we'll build lessons around natural, practical speaking practice.

My lessons are conversational and interactive rather than passive. I believe the fastest way to improve is by actually speaking, making mistakes, and getting immediate, clear feedback, so expect plenty of speaking practice, pronunciation work, and real-time correction. I also bring in reading, writing, and listening material tailored to your level, and I track your progress so lessons build on what you've already learned rather than starting from scratch each time.

I keep the atmosphere relaxed and encouraging, because I've found students learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes. Whether you're a complete beginner or refining advanced fluency, I'll adjust my pace, materials, and teaching style to match exactly where you are and where you want to go.
