Proactive approach is what I prefer the most because this way the student is more involved in the class. First hand involvement means that you can absorb more from what is being explained or talked about no matter what type of learner you are, be it visual, auditory, reading/writing, logical and so on and so forth. Basically, my moto is: "Practice makes perfect", that is why I insist on the interaction student-teacher.
