Ed Beaumont

I'm Ed, an English musician studying a Master's course in composition here in Vienna.

I've been teaching piano and guitar for two years now, having played both for over 14 years! I completed my Bachelor's degree in music (2022) in Liverpool, UK, and received the highest grade: first class honours.

I love music and have a great passion to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm to as many people as I can!

I have two years experience of teaching both children and adults in different styles: coaching some students to passing classical piano exams, while teaching others simply how to play their favourite pop songs as well as working on general technique.

I have even been helping some students write their own songs, since this is actually my main strength as a musician and one of the things I find most fulfilling about music.

Above all, the most important thing for me is encouraging and nurturing the love of music in my students. I want to pass on knowledge and help develop skills that my students can carry with them for their entire lives and regularly use as a source of enjoyment and fulfilment.

Thus, I am flexible with my teaching methods so I can suit the individual needs of each student and help them have as much fun as possible! This is all helped with a relaxed, positive attitude: no one likes to learn while being shouted at!
