My lessons are friendly, patient and personalised, with a particular focus on helping younger learners develop a positive relationship with English.

I believe children learn languages best when they are actively involved and feel comfortable making mistakes. Rather than relying only on memorisation, I use conversation, stories, reading, vocabulary activities, simple grammar exercises, questions and real-life situations to help students understand and use English naturally.

For younger children, lessons can include age-appropriate stories, reading aloud, vocabulary building, simple conversations, pronunciation practice and fun activities based on their interests. I like to encourage children to speak and participate throughout the lesson rather than simply listen to the teacher. As their confidence grows, we gradually introduce more complex vocabulary, sentence structures and reading material.

For secondary-school students, I can provide support with grammar, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, speaking and general confidence in English. Lessons can be adapted around their schoolwork as well as the areas where they need additional practice.

I also welcome adults who would like to improve their conversational or practical English.

My professional experience in international work environments has involved communicating with people from different countries, explaining ideas clearly, collaborating with diverse teams and adapting my communication to different audiences. I bring this same structured and patient approach to tutoring.

Reading is a particularly important part of my own relationship with English. I am an extensive reader and enjoy exploring books, stories and different styles of writing. I would love to encourage young learners to discover the same enjoyment of reading while developing their vocabulary, comprehension and confidence.

Every student learns differently, so I take time to understand their current level, interests and goals and then adapt the lessons accordingly. My aim is for students to finish each lesson feeling that they have learned something useful, understood something that previously seemed difficult, and become a little more confident using English.
