My name is Finlay Sharpe

I am 26 years old and from Ireland. I am a native-English speaker and I have a love for teaching and helping others to achieve their goals.

I am a people person and I love to spend time with people of all age groups and nationalities! I am very approachable, patient, and friendly.

LESSONS

All my lessons are tailored to the specific needs of any students. In my lessons we will start with an assessment of the student's needs: What are their goals in learning English? Is it for work? is it for travel? is it exam preparation? This will help us to determine where our main focus should be. For example, travel would place a greater emphasis on speaking and listening, and less on writing.

Once this is agreed on, I will figure out my student's prior knowledge of the language and design a curriculum around what needs to improve most, and what is the best way to get there based on the student's perferred learning style.

I have a range of learning materials on hand that cater to all different levels of proficiency. I will make them available to my students and I will set tasks during the class as well as some tasks between classes (depending on the time my students have available).

I am very passionate about helping my students to achieve their learning goals and I will know I have done a good job when my students feel they are getting closer to achieving them.

All my classes are through English only as I believe this makes the learner immerse themselves more in the language.

I am available for formal classes with structured plans and also for informal practice conversations for exam preparation or general practice.

I will do my best to design everything around your needs!
