Good teaching starts with knowing what to listen for.

Pitch and pronunciation matter. So do tone, hesitation, phrasing and intention: the details that can reveal where singing becomes effortful, a message loses direction or an explanation has not quite landed.

As a vocal coach and communication trainer, my strength is hearing those details and helping you understand what to do with them. You receive clear explanations, practical guidance, and feedback specific to you.

That work draws on more than 30 years in professional music as a singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and sound engineer, and over 25 years of teaching.

Qualifications include a Master of Music (M.M.) in Contemporary Performance (Voice) from Berklee College of Music, Boston. Professional experience includes work with Bruce Springsteen, Pink, Shania Twain, and Joan Manuel Serrat.

Your sessions connect technique with something you want to achieve. We might work through a difficult vocal phrase, restructure a presentation or rehearse an important conversation. We listen, make adjustments, and try again, so you can hear and understand the difference.

When an exercise or explanation does not help, we change the approach. You leave knowing what to practice and why.

English, Spanish and Norwegian tuition is also available, with attention to pronunciation, listening and conversation. Experience of living in Spain, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Ireland brings an understanding of the cultural differences behind the words.

Enseñar bien empieza por saber escuchar.

Importan la afinación y la pronunciación, pero también el tono, las vacilaciones, el fraseo y la intención: detalles que permiten detectar dónde cantar exige un esfuerzo innecesario, un mensaje pierde el rumbo o una explicación no acaba de entenderse.

Como vocal coach y formador en comunicación, mi punto fuerte es captar esos detalles y ayudarte a saber qué hacer con ellos. Recibes explicaciones claras, orientación práctica y observaciones concretas sobre tu trabajo.

Más de 30 años en la música profesional como cantante, multiinstrumentista, productor e ingeniero de sonido, junto con más de 25 años de docencia, respaldan esta forma de trabajar.

Las sesiones conectan la técnica con lo que quieres conseguir. Podemos trabajar una frase musical difícil, reorganizar una presentación o ensayar una conversación importante. Escuchamos, ajustamos y volvemos a probar para que puedas percibir y comprender la diferencia.

Si un ejercicio o una explicación no te ayuda, cambiamos el enfoque. Sales sabiendo qué practicar y por qué.

También imparto clases de inglés, español y noruego, con atención a la pronunciación, la comprensión oral y la conversación. Haber vivido en España, Noruega, Suecia, Islandia e Irlanda me permite comprender las diferencias culturales que hay detrás de las palabras.

Hay quien llega con experiencia profesional y un objetivo preciso. Otras personas llegan con dudas, convencidas de que les falta seguridad o capacidad. Todas merecen la misma paciencia, atención y orientación honesta.
