Hello! I’m Ji Eun, a native Korean speaker and a Master’s student in Korean Language Education at Ewha Womans University. I have experience teaching Korean to learners of different ages and proficiency levels, both online and in educational settings.

My teaching philosophy is simple: **Korean should be useful, meaningful, and fun. I don’t want students to simply memorize grammar rules or vocabulary. I want them to understand how Korean is actually used and feel confident using it themselves.

?? My Teaching Approach

Every lesson is personalized according to the student’s age, Korean level, interests, learning goals, and learning style.

For beginners, I can start from the basics of Hangul, pronunciation, and essential expressions and gradually build a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary.

For students who already have some Korean knowledge, lessons can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and fluency.

I also use a variety of interactive activities, including **role-plays, games, quizzes, pictures, videos, and real-life conversation, so students can actively participate rather than simply listen to a lecture.

???? Korean Culture in Every Lesson

Language and culture are closely connected, so I love bringing Korean culture into my lessons.

Depending on the student’s interests, we can explore K-pop, K-dramas, Korean food, travel, fashion, movies, music, games, Korean holidays, traditions, and everyday life in Korea.

For example, if you love K-pop, we can learn useful Korean expressions through lyrics and interviews. If you enjoy Korean dramas, we can explore expressions and conversations from real-life situations. If you are interested in traveling to Korea, we can practice practical Korean that you can actually use during your trip.

?? Your Interests Become Part of the Lesson

I believe students learn better when they are genuinely interested in what they are learning.

That’s why I like to get to know each student and incorporate their favorite topics and hobbies into our lessons. Whether you love animals, sports, anime, cooking, fashion, music, games, or Korean culture, we can use those interests as a starting point for learning Korean.

My classes are friendly, relaxed, and interactive. Making mistakes is a natural part of learning a language, so students never need to worry about being perfect.

I encourage students to speak, ask questions, try new expressions, and learn from their mistakes. My goal is to create an environment where students can feel comfortable saying:

"I’m not sure, but I’ll try!”

rather than being afraid of making a mistake.
