My lessons are mostly conversational. I observe students' needs and develop lesson plans tailored to each individual. I focus mainly on speaking and pronunciation with some grammar work. My goal is to help students more easily understand and answer questions by creating a warm, inviting, and non-judgmental learning environment. Typically, I start by making small talk, and we discuss what the student did that day, the problems they had, or any other topics they bring up. After, we jump into the main part of our lesson. For example, we read news articles, translate out loud, and go over tricky words or grammar rules. At the end, we sum up our lesson by talking about progress and goals.
