I'm a TEFL / TESOL certified English Language teacher from the United States. I have experience creating customized curriculum for Business Professionals as well as students studying for language exams. I've even curated a summer school series for elementary school aged children learning English. I usually teach 1:1 lessons, but I've also taught courses at universities spanning 40+ students and 4+ hours per lesson. I'm especially skilled at gearing language acquisition towards your interests to keep the lessons both interesting and functional for your personal lifestyle. I'm currently based in Riga, Latvia and am passionate about the English language as an avid reader and lifelong learner. I find that no matter where you travel to, knowing English is a great way to connect with others. When I teach lessons, I like to include a balance of learning styles so that we can find out what works best for you. There are many ways to learn and absorb content whether that's through writing, speaking, listening, or pairing with kinesthetic movements. As someone who loves learning other languages, I'm well aware where hiccups can occur when picking up a new language and I do my best to help my students avoid these stumbling blocks. When it comes to your goals, I like to start by getting to know who you are and what you want to achieve before we come up with a personalized plan to help you reach your language goals. In my free time I love exploring, cooking, traveling, playing with my two daughters, going to sauna, strength training, and playing board games.
