I am an educator by profession and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Malawi, where I gained a strong foundation in education and teaching. My studies covered a wide range of areas, including science teaching strategies, educational psychology, philosophy of education, adolescent psychology, and curriculum studies, among others. Through this training, I developed both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to support learners effectively.
I am also conversant with the fundamentals of biology and chemistry, while my major area of specialization is Nutrition Studies. This remains my primary domain of study and interest.
As a teacher, I believe in building firm foundations before moving on to more heavy and complex concepts. I focus on ensuring that students fully comprehend the basics because meaningful learning is built upon a clear understanding of fundamental principles. To support this process, I employ visualization techniques and relate concepts to everyday life so that students can better understand, internalize, and apply what they learn.
My goal is not only to help students achieve good academic results but also to help them appreciate the relevance and usefulness of knowledge in their daily lives. I believe that education should do more than prepare learners for examinations; it should empower them to think critically, solve problems, and make informed decisions. By creating an engaging and supportive learning environment, I aim to help students develop confidence in their abilities and become lifelong learners who can positively impact the people and communities around them.
