I believe in making complex ideas clear, engaging and practical. Learning is not about memorising dozens of dictionaries, but about associative thinking.

Thus, I focus most of my teaching on getting the student to grasp the logic of the subject at matter, anticipating sentences and nuances.

This involves a dual programme of following a more rigid textbook where grammar and foundational knowledge can be exercised, and being free in diverting from it whenever there is a need. If a student has a question, it is my duty to explore it to the fullest regardless of whether it syncs with the learning course of the book.

I have taught numerous subjects such as sociology, psychology, economics, as well as languages such as Russian and English. For these three I mostly specialise in IB and A-level curriculums which can be quite stringent, but I always encourage curiosity.

My teaching methods include memorisation techniques as the exams require vast knowledge at hand. However, I base learning on understanding the subject at hand with meaningful examples. This help the student not only to ace the exam, but also share the love of these subjects with me. Social sciences are awesome!

As for the languages, I use "Ruski Souvenir" and "????? ????" for beginners in Russian, and the "English File" for intermediary English students. Being bilingual in both of these languages also enables me to teach my students the intricacies of the language and how to sound like a native. For German speaking students, I also have an advanced command in German. In my previous experience with German students, I mostly encourage the classes to be held in the language one is learning, but can also communicate in German if necessary for clarification.

Finally, I am very flexible with my schedules and am available for students outside of the teaching hours. Learning requires patience and curiosity, and I am here to nurture both.
