Mara Sokratous

As a native Greek speaker with a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies and Philosophy from the University of Cyprus and a Master’s degree in Journalism, I bring strong language skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for education.

My teaching approach is personalised, interactive, and student-centred. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to their individual level, interests, and learning objectives.

A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous material, followed by the introduction of new concepts through examples and interactive exercises. We then practise what we’ve learned and finish with feedback and suggestions for further improvement.

My academic background in Greek language, literature, philosophy, and journalism has strengthened my ability to explain ideas clearly, communicate effectively, and adapt to different learning needs.

Above all, I aim to create a positive, supportive, and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their skills at their own pace.
