As an Art History, Curating, Contemporary Art, Fine Arts and Media Arts University Lecturer, my lessons active, highly collaborative, and deeply connected to the professional art world. My approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that art history, contemporary art, and media theory must actively inform, and be informed by, artistic and curatorial practice. My teachings are structured around interactive group critiques and one-on-one studio tutorials where I support students link theory directly to practice. I lead hands-on curatorial workshops and teach exhibition design and public writing, while simultaneously organizing lectures bringing international artists and students together for lively public debates.
I aim to create an inclusive, rigorous environment that prepares students - both in the Fine Arts and Teacher Training tracks - to navigate and shape today's diverse public spheres. As a lecturer, my lessons are active, highly collaborative, and deeply connected to the professional art world. Instead of traditional lecture halls, my teaching is structured around interactive group critiques and one-on-one studio tutorials where I support students link theory directly to practice. I lead hands-on curatorial workshops and teach exhibition design and public writing, while simultaneously organizing lectures to bring international artists and students together for lively public debates. This creates a learning environment where small, seminar-style discussions about 20th and 21st-century media texts flow naturally into real-world artistic and community projects. My speciality is the history of Art in marginalised populations within popular art history movements with intersections into political histories of the Global South, Indigenous art Histories and Black history in Africa and the Diaspora. My courses focus on building critical vocabulary and professional networking. I emphasize how contemporary art and media theories can be translated into innovative pedagogical tools for the English, French and German school system. By maintaining multi-lingual flexibility in one-on-one mentorship, I support international perspectives while ensuring that core classroom discussions and administrative duties fulfill the regional and institutional needs of the academy.
