Prabhnoor Kaur

My teaching experience comes from working with adult learners, rural women, and children through educational and community-based initiatives. I have designed and delivered beginner-level English lessons focused on practical communication, literacy development, and building learners' confidence in using the language in everyday situations.
My teaching approach is learner-centered and supportive. I believe that language learning is most effective when students feel comfortable making mistakes and expressing themselves without fear of judgment. Rather than focusing solely on memorization, I encourage active participation through discussions, storytelling, reading activities, and real-life examples that make learning engaging and accessible.
Having worked with learners from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency, I have learned to adapt my teaching methods to individual needs and learning styles. My goal is not only to improve language skills but also to foster curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong interest in learning.
In addition to teaching, I have experience in proofreading, editing, and creative writing, which allows me to help learners develop strong grammar, writing, and communication skills. I am passionate about education, intercultural exchange, and creating inclusive learning spaces where every learner feels valued and supported.
Additionally, I love to keep reading session with my students where we decide on one book and read it separately and come together to discuss about the plot, direction, characters and the possible outcomes of the story, and I find this activity quite interesting and invigorating in many ways. For starters, it helps in improving vocabulary of the students and they learn about sentence structures and story formation.
