English Lessons Built Around You, Your Goals and Your Progress
Have you ever studied English for years but still struggled to speak confidently? Or perhaps your child understands English but becomes quiet when asked to explain an idea.

My lessons are designed to help learners overcome these challenges through personalized, interactive and practical learning.

Before Our First Lesson
Every learner comes with different strengths, challenges and goals. Before we begin, I invite students to complete a short assessment informed by the **Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This helps me estimate their English proficiency and identify areas that need attention.

I also take time to understand what the learner wants to achieve. Is it speaking more confidently, improving grammar, building vocabulary, preparing for an interview or developing stronger communication skills?

Using this information and my observations during our initial lesson, I develop a personalized learning roadmap. Where appropriate, this may include a structured 20-lesson plan outlining what we will work towards. Students and parents can review the plan and suggest adjustments.

What My Lessons Are Like
My lessons are interactive, engaging and centered around the learner. I don't believe students should spend an entire lesson listening to a teacher explain grammar.

I want you to speak, think, ask questions, make mistakes, try again and gradually become more independent.

Depending on your age, level and goals, our lessons may include:
Pictures and visual storytelling: We use colorful images to describe people, situations and events, build vocabulary and practice complete sentences.

Real-life conversations: Students practice everyday situations such as ordering food, asking for directions, travelling, shopping and communicating at work.

Role-playing: We take turns playing different characters so learners can practice using English naturally.

Creative speaking challenges: Younger learners and teenagers enjoy imaginative questions, funny scenarios, games and storytelling activities that encourage them to express their ideas.

The PREP speaking method: Students learn to organize answers using a Point, Reason, Example and concluding Point. This is especially useful for public speaking, interviews and expressing opinions.

Grammar and pronunciation practice: We work on accuracy through examples, guided corrections and speaking activities instead of memorizing rules alone.

Reading, phonics and vocabulary development: Younger learners build foundational literacy skills through age-appropriate visual activities, sounds, word-building and sentence practice.

I adapt my teaching to the learner's personality. A shy child may need playful questions and encouragement, while an adult preparing for a job interview may need professional vocabulary, realistic interview questions and feedback on their answers.

How a Typical Lesson Flows
We usually begin with a friendly conversation or short review of previous learning. I then introduce our focus using examples and interactive materials.

Students practice through guided activities before moving towards more independent speaking or problem-solving.

I encourage questions throughout the lesson. Students also get opportunities to ask me questions, lead conversations and explain their own ideas.

When mistakes happen, I provide supportive corrections without constantly interrupting the learner's confidence or flow.

Learning Doesn't Stop When the Lesson Ends
I believe that regular practice is essential for language development.

Students may receive short, personalized practice activities, useful learning resources and recommendations for independent study.

We also revisit previously learned material through revision activities and periodic progress checks to see what learners remember and what needs further attention.

Parents receive feedback on their child's participation, progress, strengths and areas for improvement.

I also offer guided English homework support. Rather than completing assignments for students, I help them understand questions, work through difficulties and develop the confidence to complete their work independently.

I am a qualified educator with over nine years of teaching experience across classroom and online settings, having taught more than 300 learners.

My qualifications include:
Bachelor of Education in Basic Education
Diploma in Basic Education
120-hour TEFL certificate

I work with children, teenagers and adults, adapting my teaching methods to different ages, confidence levels and learning needs.
