Hi, I’m Riya, 25, a psychology graduate with hands-on tutoring experience with primary school students. I’ve worked with Grade 4 students in both English and Math, so I know where kids this age usually get stuck and how to help them work through it without feeling frustrated.
My sessions are relaxed and one-on-one, so I can fully focus on what each student needs. I don’t follow a rigid script, if something isn’t clicking, I try a different approach until it does. For English I focus on reading, writing, and comprehension in a way that feels natural rather than mechanical. For Math I break problems into small steps so nothing feels overwhelming.
My psychology background genuinely helps here. I pay attention to how a child is responding, not just whether they got the answer right. Building confidence matters as much as getting the content correct.
