My lessons are relaxed, friendly and all about getting you talking. I'd rather you speak badly and keep going than stay quiet trying to be perfect, so I keep the mood light and make it clear mistakes are totally fine.
How I teach: I mostly use conversation practice built around real-life topics like work, school, travel, daily routines and technology. I listen while you talk and note down errors. Then I fix the important ones gently at the end, or in the moment if it's blocking understanding. I explain things in simple words and give quick examples, and if you're stuck I rephrase instead of just correcting. I also try to adjust to each learner. A beginner gets slower speech and simple questions, while a more advanced learner gets deeper topics and more natural phrasing.
What we cover: everyday vocabulary, sentence structure, pronunciation, confidence in speaking, and practical English like introducing yourself, interviews and casual chats.
Lesson flow: I start with a quick warm-up chat, move into the main topic or speaking activity, then spend the last few minutes on a recap of new words and the mistakes we spotted, so you leave knowing exactly what to improve.
My experience: I'm a BBIT student at JKUAT, and I volunteer as a writer and helper at Urafiki Resource Center, where I work with people and explain things in a simple, clear way. I also run my own cyber services business, so I deal with clients daily and I'm used to being patient, breaking down confusing processes and making people feel comfortable asking questions. English is something I'm very comfortable in, and I enjoy helping others get there too.
