Shiela Mae

I started teaching pretty early—at 15, I was already helping out in our church’s Sunday school, working with kids and pre-teens. Not long after, I began tutoring kids in the neighborhood to help fund my college projects and thesis. My professional teaching journey officially kicked off when I became an on-site ESL instructor, mostly teaching adults from different countries.

Later on, I shifted to the BPO industry and worked as a Senior Quality Analyst, where I handled coaching and training sessions to help agents improve their English communication—both written and spoken—while aligning it with the product knowledge they needed for their campaigns.

When I became a mom, I decided to work from home and continued teaching as an online ESL instructor, catering to both kids and adults. I’m often recognized for my strong foundation and engaging strategies in teaching phonics, grammar, and reading comprehension, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing every day.
