**My teaching is practical, friendly, and designed to help students build strong, reliable English skills.** We’ll focus on using English as much as possible during lessons, rather than only studying grammar or memorizing words all the time. I create a place for students to speak, ask questions, and improve their skills in a supportive environment.
I work mainly with adults and teach both General English and Business English. Lessons can include conversation, speaking practice, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and role-plays. For students who need English for work, we can also practice meetings, presentations, emails, interviews, and other common workplace situations.
I have more than 15 years of experience teaching writing to English-speaking adults in workshops and classes I created. I've also spent 18 years working in writing, editing, and publishing. This background has taught me how to explain ideas clearly, lead discussions, and provide a safe space for students to ask questions and make mistakes.
When not teaching, you can find me writing and editing books, or maybe reading, cooking, watching movies. Two things I especially love are history (especially ancient) and experiencing and learning about the cultures of other people. And I adore having long conversations about interesting topics. I’m planning to move to the EU in the next few years, and that’s one of the reasons I decided to begin teaching English. When we settle down, I’d love to use my teaching skills to give something back to the community we become part of.
**If you'd like to see if we might work well together,** a trial lesson is a chance to get to know each other and talk about your English level, goals, and what you would like to improve. From there, we can decide what would be most useful for you in future sessions together—whether that means becoming more confident in meetings, being able to communicate while traveling, or simply having more conversation opportunities.
**My goal is simple: I want you to feel more confident using English after every lesson.** We will focus on the English you need for your real life, work, and personal goals.
