I have three years of experience teaching Chinese, holding both the Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other languages (CTCSOL) and the Putonghua Level 2 Grade A Certificate. I employ a variety of teaching methods: For complete beginners, I use English to assist teaching, explaining pinyin(Chinese phonetics), vocabulary, and grammar in simple and understandable way. I also utilize visual aids and Total Physical Response (TPR) to engage students, and make them practice through interactive activities and scenario-based simulations. For students who have some knowledge of Chinese, I adopt an immersive teaching approach, designing numerous conversational scenarios and topics to encourage more speaking practice. I also expand vocabulary based on students' needs and interests. For children, I incorporate various games to captivate their attention and make language acquisition fun and engaging through diverse interactions. I tailor my course content to students' Chinese proficiency, learning goals, and interests, leveraging multimedia to make lessons more delightful. I strive to create a classroom environment that is interactive, engaging, and enjoyable. Currently, most of my students have achieved satisfactory learning outcomes.
