I'm Mara, a social worker with a love of helping young students figure out how to reach their fullest potential. I start my work with students with a mindfulness activity, then go into strategy review from previous lesson, and then discuss current concerns and what strategies would be helpful to re-engage and stay motivated. I try to incorporate teaching DBT strategies, which students can use to manage feeling overwhelmed in everyday life. I give students room to guide the lesson to adjust to their current needs, while still ensuring quality learning.
