Hello, and welcome. My name is Evangelia, and I have taught English for more than twenty years — CELTA-qualified, with an MA in Applied Linguistics and over 10,500 one-to-one lessons delivered, from complete beginners to advanced learners, children to adults.
My method. Every lesson is built around you, not a syllabus. Before we begin, I ask what you actually need English for — a school exam, a university interview, a work presentation, or simply the confidence to speak without freezing. That answer decides everything that follows. You will never sit through a generic lesson that could have been given to anyone else.
How a lesson runs. An hour, in three parts. We open with a short warm-up using language from last time. Then the main focus of the day — a grammar point, a skill, a situation you need to handle. Then practice: first guided, where I support you step by step, then free, where you use the language naturally.
Content and dynamics. All four skills are woven through every lesson — speaking, listening, reading and writing — alongside grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The pace matches you: lively games and pictures with younger learners, real situations with adults — meetings, emails, interviews.
Correction. Handled carefully. Some mistakes I correct straight away; others I note and go through at the end, so you never lose your flow. I will always tell you honestly how you are doing, and never make you feel small for getting something wrong.
Materials. I write them myself. Every worksheet and activity is made for you — your level, your goals, the situations you will genuinely meet.
What you can expect. Patience, honesty, structure, encouragement. We agree clear goals and track your progress, so you see yourself improving. Homework stays short and focused. Lessons fit your timetable, including evenings and weekends.
Online or in person. Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or face to face. Online lessons are fully interactive — shared screens and documents we work on together.
Whether you are starting from zero, preparing for an exam, or brushing up English you have not used in years, you are welcome here. Let's get started.
