Hi, I'm Funmilayo. I have over ten years of classroom experience as a teacher and Montessori directress, and I have a TEFL certificate. I help students read with more confidence and understand what they read, whether they are just starting out or need help with school texts. A lesson usually starts with a quick warm up. Then we read a short text together and talk about it. I begin with easy questions, like who and what, then move to harder ones, like why and what might happen next. We end with a short activity and a recap, and I tell you what to practise before our next lesson. If reading feels slow or hard, I break it into small steps and we go at your pace. For younger learners, I use phonics, rhymes and pictures. I also keep track of your progress, and I'm happy to update parents.
