I have been teaching general subjects for 16 years. I have experience teaching both in in-person and online teaching. I'm TEFL certified on top of my Masters degree in Education and Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Over the years, I was able to develop different teaching strategies which helped my students progress under my care.
My methodology includes a student-centred approach, wherein I work entirely according to the needs and interests of the students. I make lessons which are engaging and fun at the same time so students can develop their confidence and take ownership of their learning. For each lesson I give, I always see to it that I give necessary feedbacks so my students will know what they have done well and what are the next steps they should take to improve more on. On top of these, I create a course plan or a lesson tracker for each student so that they can track their progress and check lessons they have done. The lesson tracker is composed of the lesson contents and the skills being developed and improved.
I believe that learning English doesn't have to be hard. I act as a guide, a coach, and a mentor, all at the same time taking each student go through step by step of their progress, celebrating from small to big milestones of their learning. After each lesson, I always make sure that my students walk away with confidence, equipped with needed tools to communicate and express themselves effectively.
