I'm an English teacher with experience working across two very different settings, and that range is exactly what shapes how I teach.
Most recently I've taught 13- and 14-year-olds in Spain, delivering subjects like biology and history in English. Teaching real content rather than language in isolation taught me something I bring to every lesson: people learn a language fastest when they're using it to do something they actually care about. Grammar sticks when it's attached to a real idea, not a worksheet.
With my adult students on Preply, I build lessons around a mix of reading and speaking activities, always weaving in new phrases and grammar as we go. The conversation stays natural, but you're constantly picking up usable language rather than memorising rules in a vacuum. I adapt the balance to you — more speaking practice if you want fluency and confidence, more structure if you're working toward something specific.
My specialism is Business English. I studied it at degree level and spent time working in recruitment, so I know how English actually functions in a professional setting — interviews, emails, meetings, the difference between technically correct and genuinely persuasive. If you're preparing for a job, an interview, or day-to-day work in English, this is where I can really help.
A typical lesson with me is relaxed but purposeful. We'll usually warm up by revisiting what we covered last time, work through new material via reading or discussion, and finish with active practice so you leave having actually used what you learned. Whether you're a nervous beginner or polishing professional fluency, lessons are built around your goals and your pace.
