As a native Spanish speaker with extensive international experience teaching online across diverse cultures, my lessons are structured to be highly interactive, engaging, and student-centered. I adapt my methodology based on the student's age (from primary school to adults) and their specific learning goals.
A standard 50 to 60-minute lesson follows this effective four-part structure:
1. The Warm-Up & Icebreaker (5-10 mins)
We begin with a casual conversation or a quick, fun activity related to a current topic. This helps the student builds confidence and for me it's important to know the motivation, goals and interests.
2. Core Content & Goal Setting (15 mins). Introduction of the day’s main topic, vocabulary, or grammatical structure. We review the main points from previous class.
3. Active Practice & Role-Play (20-25 mins). This is the core of my lesson. I heavily focus on speaking and real-world application. We dive into situational role-plays (e.g., ordering in a restaurant, a job interview, or debating a cultural topic) tailored to the student's age and level. This ensures the lesson is practical and fun.
4. Wrap-Up & Constructive Feedback (5 mins). We review what was learned, highlight successes, and gently address areas for improvement. I also provide actionable recommendations for self-study before the next session.
My Philosophy: No two students are the same, my ultimate goal is to make Spanish come alive through meaningful, enjoyable conversation. The most important is not only to learn a language, but also to enjoy with this learning.
