My name is Abigail Nyarkoh, and I would love to be a part of the Nao Now family to mentor our future leaders. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering and a 220-Hour TEFL/TESOL Diploma with a specialization in Business English. Although my academic path began in engineering, my passion for teaching and mentoring children has led me to pursue a rewarding career in English language education.
I have a deep love for children and a strong desire to help them overcome their fears of learning English as a second language. I believe that every child learns best in an encouraging, patient, and engaging environment—one where mistakes are seen as opportunities to grow. My teaching philosophy is built around mentorship rather than instruction. I aim to guide and empower my students, helping them build not only language skills but also self-confidence and a genuine love for learning.
My TEFL/TESOL training has provided me with a solid foundation in lesson planning, interactive teaching methods, and classroom management for both virtual and in-person settings. I combine this with my natural creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm to make lessons lively and meaningful.
As an online ESL mentor, my goal is to create a supportive learning space where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to express themselves in English. I look forward to contributing to your program by helping young learners discover the joy and confidence that come from mastering a new language.
