From Hesitant to Fluent -Let’s Build Your English Journey Together

My name is Rebecca Darko, and I would love to be a part of the Nao Now family to mentor our future leaders. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering and a 220-Hour TEFL/TESOL Diploma with a specialization in Business English. Although my academic path began in engineering, my passion for teaching and mentoring children has led me to pursue a rewarding career in English language education. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught a wide range of subjects to children and adults, with a focus on making complex concepts accessible, engaging, and meaningful. I am particularly skilled in scaffolding content for ESL learners, ensuring that language learning becomes an enjoyable experience for them.
My TEFL/TESOL training has provided me with a solid foundation in lesson planning, interactive teaching methods, and classroom management for both virtual and in-person settings. I combine this with my natural creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm to make lessons lively and meaningful.
As an online ESL mentor, my goal is to create a supportive learning space where learners feel safe, valued, and inspired to express themselves in English. I look forward to contributing to your program by helping young learners discover the joy and confidence that come from mastering a new language.
